I love a cheesy soup. I also love a good vegetable soup and broccoli cheddar soup is the perfect blend of soup ingredients I love! I mostly followed this recipe from Holly at Spend With Pennies: https://www.spendwithpennies.com/slow-cooker-broccoli-cheese-soup/#wprm-recipe-container-122982
The aroma of the onions, garlic, and celery was amazing! I wish you could smell it. On the aroma scale, this is my favorite soup so far!
This was an easy soup to throw together. All I had to do was sauté the vegetables and put them in the crockpot with the rest of the ingredients – minus the cheese. I did not subtract anything from the recipe but I did add extra pepper, nutmeg, and more cheese.
Of how yummy it tastes! After it had cooked for about 2 hours I gave it a taste to see what spices I needed to add. I can’t wait until adding the cheese because the vegetable base is amazing!
To be honest, this was not a beautiful soup to look at. But like many things in life, outside beauty is not the most important thing. I will definitely make this again!
Here is my running list of soups starting with my favorite
#1 Broccoli Cheddar Soup
#2 Chicken and Wild Rice Soup (I made it again and it was SOOO good!)
#3 Shrimp Ramen
#4 Cabbage Roll Soup
#5 Texas Chili (still Tim's favorite)
#6 Italian Sausage Soup
#7 Simple Lentil Soup
